Continuing our trip to Japan last year, Kyoto was one of the highlights in terms of sightseeing.
The original ancient capital, Kyoto is the spiritual centre of Japan, and is rich with cultural heritage.

On a warm April day we saw many wearing traditional dress, although we later discovered that if you wear traditional dress, you travel free on public transport. I think that would be quite a good thing in NZ?

As well as beautiful scenery and culture, Kyoto seems to be home to some interesting cafe’s. This one is the dog cafe, where you go and can have tea with the dogs.

This one is a little different as you can have a “forest experience with Bengal cats”, or if you fancy it a “nature experience with Owls”. What? yes Owls.
Too many choices!
